Letterpress Wedding Invitations

What is letterpress and why is it so expensive? Trust me, the extra expense is legit and worth it. Letterpress printing is a traditional method that creates a tactile and visually striking impression by pressing an inked, raised surface onto thick, premium paper. In my opinion, the deeper the impression, the better!

To create a letterpress print, a digital design is used to make a polymer or metal plate with the image in relief, which is then inked and pressed onto paper. It’s a multistep, time-intense process done by meticulous creative professionals. This should explain the cost. I won’t sugarcoat it, letterpress is not cheap. Custom Wedding Suites will start at $15/each, minimum of 50. That includes letterpress printing on the Main Invitation Card and RSVP Card, and also includes your RSVP Envelope and Guest Envelope. Typically there is only one ink color; however there are no bounds and if you have the budget for it, you can add additional impressions with different ink colors. You can also pair letterpress printing with gold foil printing, or simple digital ink to create a beautifully dynamic piece of stationery. (Using a combination of processes is my favorite!)

In short, the custom design made for you will be made into a plate, and used for your and only your, wedding invitation. If your goal is to be truly unique, high-end, and impressive…letterpress is your gal.
